No, prior experience riding an e-bike is not required. We will provide basic instruction on how to operate the bike, including the controls and safety features. However, it may be helpful to have some experience riding a bike, as this will make it easier to adjust to riding an e-bike.
3How much does it cost to rent an e-bike?
The cost to rent an e-bike will vary depending on the rental company and the type of e-bike being rented. On average, a daily rental for a basic e-bike can cost anywhere from $50 to $100, but this can be higher for premium models or for longer rental periods. You will find Snow Canyon eBikes is very price competetive as we have lower business overhead expenses by operating out of our residential property. We pass that savings on to you.
4What is included in the rental fee?

14What if my bike runs out of battery?
Our ebikes are rated to go 25-45 miles on a full charge. However, riders need to remember that these are bicycles, and some level of effort will be required to preserve your battery. While it’s tempting to use the twist throttle, this feature should be used sparingly, as it drains the battery much faster than any level of pedal assist. If you want to use the throttle, then we recommend using it for initial acceleration from a dead stop.
15Chart
Otherwise, we recommend mainly using the pedal assist to optimize the balance between your effort and battery life, especially given the local terrain and elevation changes. In booking with us, you are renting one ebike for the time slot selected, regardless of how quickly the battery has drained. We do battery checks before every booking to ensure there aren’t any problems, so unless we observe that a rider’s battery was defective, we do not allow riders to switch out bikes. If you encounter problems with your bike and suspect a battery defect, please reach out to us immediately at (435) 414-1665.
16Are there any bikes that have seats for children?
Our child seat product can be added to the rental of a RadWagon ebike. This seat is intended for up to two children between the ages of 1-6, or up to 48 lbs. Please contact us prior to pick up so that we can install the child seating before you arrive.
17Can we still rent even if it’s raining?
Though it’s hard to predict the weather too far in advance, we don’t get a whole lot of rain here in Southern Utah. If it happens to be raining when you pick up your bikes, we just ask that you stay on paved paths.
18What if I damage the bike?
As part of our waiver, renters agree to pay for all damages incurred during their rental above normal wear and tear. Please review our Terms and Conditions Agreement here.
19What if the bike is stolen?
During the period of the rental, the responsibility of securing the bike will fall to the renter. Bike locks are available at our location at no additional cost. If you decide to park the bike and leave it, we recommend locking it to one of the several trailhead bike racks or metal railings. Please review our Terms and Conditions Agreement here as it relates to lost or stolen ebikes.
20Do you have trail maps available?
We recommend picking up a map from the fee booth attendant at the entrance to the park. You can also refer to their online maps here. Additionally, we offer links to nearby destinations on our website, which should open in a maps app on your phone. They can be found here.
21Can we transport your bikes to another location?
Due to the weight and design of our bikes, we ask that you do not transport them by another vehicle. Our rentals are intended to provide you access to beautiful and interesting places within a 15 mile radius which easily include Snow Canyon, Ivins, Tuacahn, Kayenta and Santa Clara.
22Do you sell ebikes?
This is not our primary business. However, we intend to regularly cycle our bikes out of inventory, so if you are interested in buying one of our bikes, it never hurts to ask! If we don’t have any available, we can add you to our list and call you when we have one available. We do not sell new ebikes.
